Semi-pro football players makes weight-loss deal with personal trainer
Wednesday, August 10, 2011
Kevin Callender, personal trainer at Novi Sports Club in Novi, Michigan, recently took on the challenge of an overweight former semi-pro football player who wanted to lose 100 pounds, WJBK-TV reports.
Callender met Demetrious Kennerly after he overheard the former athlete discussing football at a restaurant. The two men got to talking, and Kennerly mentioned that he had put on the weight by eating too much fast food late at night.
The Novi trainer took it upon himself to bring Kennerly back to playing weight, and had Kennerly sign a written agreement to get fit.
"I wrote out a contract saying look, I'm going to volunteer my time, but nothing ever falls in your plate for free," Callender told the news source. "That would be in the long run, if you do quit, if you do cheat on the health and the diet ... there is going to be a consequence."
